    • Oppose retail alcohol sales and reject the privatisation of the State Alcohol and Tobacco Company (\u00c1TVR).<\/span><\/li>
    • Strengthen violence prevention programs for children and youths.<\/span><\/li>
    • Ensure access to medications in all local communities.<\/span><\/li>
    • Enhance primary healthcare services across the country.<\/span><\/li>
    • Provide financial incentives for doctors to work in rural areas.<\/span><\/li>
    • Facilitate the return of doctors and healthcare workers to Iceland with student loan annulment.<\/span><\/li>
    • Improve access to mental health services.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
      Education is the greatest social equaliser <\/b><\/h5>
      • No Class Divisions in the School System <\/span><\/li>
      • Ensure by law and funding that all children have access to preschool immediately after parental leave. <\/span><\/li>
      • Equal access to education \u2013 free schooling at all levels.<\/span><\/li>
      • Value teachers for their contributions and increase support across all areas.<\/span><\/li>
      • Strengthen fundamental research and increase funding for universities. <\/span><\/li>
      • Lower interest rates on student loans and use the student loan system to encourage graduates to return to Iceland.<\/span><\/li>
      • Culture and the arts should be accessible to all groups in society; barriers preventing people from enjoying diverse cultural experiences must be removed.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        <\/b>Give families more quality time together<\/b><\/h5>
        • All children should lead lives free from poverty, violence, racism, class divisions, and misogyny.<\/span><\/li>
        • Close the gap between parental leave and preschool access immediately.<\/span><\/li>
        • Increase child benefits and parental leave allowances.<\/span><\/li>
        • Eliminate reductions on the lowest parental leave payments. <\/span><\/li>
        • End waiting lists for all child services.<\/span><\/li>
        • Transform treatment options for children with complex needs.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
          We only have nature on loan<\/b><\/h5>
          • Prohibit whaling.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
            • Prohibit blood mare farming.<\/span><\/li>
            • Protect Eyjafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, \u00d6xarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, and Sey\u00f0isfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur from open-sea fish farming.<\/span><\/li>
            • Increase protected areas and phase out open-sea fish farming.<\/li>
            • Set aside one-third of Iceland\u2019s land and waters as protected by 2030.<\/span><\/li>
            • Preserve the central highlands and the Westfjords highlands.<\/span><\/li>
            • Safeguard ecosystems through sustainable resource use.<\/span><\/li>
            • Reject privatisation of natural resources and infrastructure.<\/span><\/li>
            • Include a resource protection clause in the constitution.<\/span><\/li>
            • Ensure legal standing for environmental and animal protection organisations.<\/span><\/li>
            • Halt cryptocurrency mining in Iceland and direct energy to other better uses.<\/span><\/li>
            • Limit wind turbines to previously disturbed areas and ensure they remain in public ownership.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
              Farmers are the stewards of the land<\/b><\/h5>
              • A new support system must work effectively for farmers. <\/span><\/li>
              • Increase support for local agriculture.<\/span><\/li>
              • Provide electricity discounts for vegetable farmers.<\/span><\/li>
              • Strengthen farmers’ ability to build livelihoods through conservation and land restoration.<\/span><\/li>
              • Continue the major initiative to boost Icelandic grain production.<\/span><\/li>
              • Promote and strengthen all local food production.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                <\/b>The city is nothing without the countryside<\/b><\/h5>
                • Improve transportation across the country and increase funding for road construction.<\/span><\/li>
                • Fund the tunnel project plan.<\/span><\/li>
                • Ensure school buses run on paved roads and eliminate single-lane bridges on the Ring Road.<\/span><\/li>
                • Guarantee energy security and strengthen the country\u2019s distribution network in harmony with communities and nature.<\/span><\/li>
                • Protect households from excessive increases in electricity prices.<\/span><\/li>
                • Implement legislation for public transportation.<\/span><\/li>
                • Accelerate the development of the Borgarl\u00edna. <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                  <\/b>Radical but realistic actions against climate change<\/b><\/h5>
                  • Those who pollute must pay \u2013 the pollution compensation principle must apply to all.<\/span><\/li>
                  • Enshrine into law Iceland’s goal of a 55% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.<\/span><\/li>
                  • Make greenwashing punishable by law. <\/span><\/li>
                  • Adopt a comprehensive climate policy.<\/span><\/li>
                  • Significantly increase funding for climate action and accelerate its implementation.<\/span><\/li>
                  • End the use of fossil fuels by 2040 through energy transition.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                    Women’s rights in focus<\/b>
                    <\/span><\/h5>
                    • Violence against women is a public health threat and must be eradicated by all available means.<\/span><\/li>
                    • Eliminate gender inequality and misogyny.<\/span><\/li>
                    • Fight against the erosion of rights for women and transgender people.<\/span><\/li>
                    • Increase the value of women\u2019s work and eliminate the gender pay gap.<\/span><\/li>
                    • Ensure equal distribution of parental leave.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                      • Survivors of sexual crimes should have legal standing as parties in their cases.<\/span><\/li>
                      • The state should be liable for damages to victims if errors are made in investigations or if there are undue delays. <\/span><\/li>
                      • Make it easier for victims of domestic violence to obtain restraining orders, and impose fines for violations of them.<\/span><\/li>
                      • Make digital sexual crimes punishable by law.<\/span><\/li>
                      • Ensure a humane path out of prostitution and human trafficking<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                        <\/b>Diversity enriches all of the society<\/b><\/h5>
                        • Welcome immigrants with open arms and ensure they have the opportunity to thrive as full participants in society.<\/span><\/li>
                        • No detention centres for people fleeing conflict.<\/span><\/li>
                        • The only way forward in immigration matters is through information and dialogue.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                          • Provide special attention and care to marginalised groups.<\/span><\/li>
                          • Ensure free Icelandic language classes for all immigrants.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                            Wars ends with peace, not battles<\/b><\/h5>
                            • Condemn all war and violence.<\/span><\/li>
                            • Eradicate inhumane policies against people fleeing conflict.<\/span><\/li>
                            • Accelerate the processing of asylum applications and increase professionalism.<\/span><\/li>
                            • Review and reform the procedures and practices of the Directorate of Immigration from the ground up.<\/span><\/li>
                            • Work against all forms of weaponry in Icelandic society.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>
                              • Ensure job security for the police. <\/span><\/li>
                              • Increase visible policing and public trust in law enforcement through actions.<\/span><\/li>
                              • Demand an immediate ceasefire and Free Palestine.<\/span><\/li>
                              • Israeli authorities must be held accountable for war crimes and genocide in Gaza.<\/span><\/li>
